8-Channel Infrared Tracking Sensor
This unit is specifically designed for line-following robots. It includes eight pairs of infrared LED/phototransistor lamps, arranged at 1 cm intervals. This makes it a highly preferred solution in the field of robotics due to its stable and reliable performance.
Sensor Features
Each sensor on the board provides a separate analog output voltage. A pull-up resistor is connected to each sensor. The output voltage varies proportionally based on the reflectivity of the surface or the distance to the object. As the reflectivity increases, the output voltage also increases.
Additional Applications
In addition to line-following applications, the QTR-8A sensor unit can also be used as a proximity sensor or object detection device.
